Blessed with forests hills and valleys, dotted with upwards of 700 lakes and severed by picturesque farmlands. The dense web of postglacial lakes, connected by rivers, create some of Poland's most beautiful water routes. The forest complexes of the Kashubian Landscape Park hide a wealth of nature and numerous nature reserves containing and protecting unique flora.

Culture

The Kashubian Landscape Park is far more than just breathtaking nature – it also stands for the widely-known Kashubian culture and history. Kashubia is the home of Kashubian people, a Slavic ethnic group whose language is often described as a mix of Polish and Low German - a legacy of the dynamic history of Northern Poland. The folk art, particularly Kashubian embroidery, painting and ceramics still find a great many enthusiasts.

Location

From the forests and lakes of Kartuzy to the farmlands of Szymbark and all the way out to the vast sand dunes around Łeba and further along the gorgeously beach-lined Hel Peninsula, you will rarely find such a diverse geographical region anywhere else in Central Europe.
